Rick Dominguez

Rick Dominguez has been a club and mobile DJ for 36 years. A Country Western DJ and a line dance instructor and choreographer for 25 years! Known for dances like “Call Me Señorita, Bambalam, Girl Crushin’, Dance Like Yo Daddy, Uptown Slide, Loosen Up My Buttons, Blue Jeans On, You Look Good, Do-Si-Do, Everybody Have A Good Time and Ex’s & Oh’s” as well as many other local favorites, Rick had been the resident DJ at Oil Can Harry’s in Studio City for 26 years. 

 

Rick also DJ’s and teaches line dances throughout the country with various clubs and organizations like IAGLCWDC with stops in Austin, Miami, Phoenix, Denver, New Yorks Fire Island, Montreal, Las Vegas, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco, Columbus, New Orleans, Louisville, San Diego, and Palm Springs. Also many and charities including GLAAD media awards ceremony, APLA, Trevor Project, Life Group LA’s Saddle Up, and LA Music Center’s Dance Downtown Summer Festival for 10 years running, bringing in thousands of new dancers every summer to experience the country dance community! 

 

Rick is the creator of WWLA (Wrangler Weekend Los Angeles) a local country western dance convention now in it’s 10th year! This convention brings in dance instructors from across the country to teach workshops all weekend ending with nightly Country Ballroom Dances. Rick is also the founder of the LA Wranglers, the award winning country western dance troop now in our 20th season, providing entertainment for rodeos, festivals, and private events.
